fees ・$10 flat rate for the first session.
・Sliding scale (based on household income) for the 2nd session onwards.（Please refer to the below remarks)
・Each session (incl. the 1st session) is maximum 1 hour.
・Fee schedule will be applied to an in-person counselling session in JSS office,telephone counselling session, home visit session and accompaniment to external meeting, appointment and conference.
・Please bring an income proof document on your 1st session with a counsellor. Your counsellor will review it and assign an appropriate fee according to the chart. Your counsellor will not retain a copy of the document. If you were not able to produce any documents by the 2nd session without a reasonable explanation, the highest fee ($65) will be applied. If your unique circumstance does not allow you to access / release any of the above noted documents, please talk to your counsellor to explore other options.
・ODSP / OW recipients will be charged the basic fee of $10 / session. However, a counselling fee may be waived or reduced further at the counsellor’s discretion when serving clients of domestic violence (only for victims), problem gambling, HIV or those facing extreme financial challenges.
・There would be a charge of $40 per hour for an official report/letter commensurate with the time to prepare it.
・The same fee schedule is applied to a home visit session, accompaniment to external meeting or conference, and accompaniment to external appointment. *Parking costs and mileage ($0.25/km) will also be charged.
